The town of Vail is pleased to kick-off the Art in Public Places experience in Lionshead throughout the month of August. Come and enjoy various visual art programs, exhibitions, and activities in Lionshead. It's one of the most anticipated Vail events in the town during fall, especially for patrons of the arts.
For one week starting August 1st, Rambrandt Art for Hearts will be featuring works from the largest private collection of Rembrandt etchings from Drs. Toby and Morton Mower. Come and view this unique collection and experience Rembrandt’s creativity first hand. This exhibit will benefit Starting Hearts, a non-for-profit organization that aims to help save lives of sudden cardiac arrest victims in Eagle County.
The Community Collective Exhibition opening celebration will kick-off August 7 at 10:00 am at Lionhead's library community room. We are excited to showcase local talent from Eagle County artists above the library’s fireplace Until September 1st.
We invite the public to select the next work from the Community Collective Exhibition to be displayed over the fireplace through a People’s Choice Award. This chosen work will be on view above the fireplace from October 13th through January 12th, 2015.
We also encourage you to join us on Wednesday, August 27th at 5:30 pm to personalize paper projects with local author and artist Helen Hiebert. Helen Hiebert’s skillful demonstration and hands-on instruction will enable you to craft your own original paper creation. The cost for the workshop is $10 which includes materials and instruction. Space is limited so please R.S.V.P. to Liz Willhoff at 970-479-2190 or email@example.com. Clear your mind, and take a step into another realm this August and experience local art like you never have before.
