One of the best summer activities is celebrating the fourth of July – and the Vail Valley does it with style! Throughout the weekend there will be events hosted across Eagle county – live music, festival treats, drink specials and of course, fireworks will entertain residents and visitors alike.
Vail America Days
Vail America Days annual celebration will include a parade through town from Golden Peak to Lionshead, a patriotic concert by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra presented by Bravo! Vail and a fireworks show synchronized to an exciting soundtrack. There will be many other weekend and July 4th activities as well. The Vail Lacrosse Shootout takes place from June 27th to July 5th when awards will be given to this year’s elite champions. Vail Public Library will be hosting a book sale throughout the weekend and a bake sale on July 4th. And what better way to start the day than at a Pancake Breakfast at Vail Interfaith Church – taking place between 8:00 and 9:00am it is open to the public.
Beaver Creek Independence Day
Beaver Creek has planned a day full of festivities to celebrate the 4th. From noon until 5:00pm Stars, Stripes and Slides will be held in the heart of Beaver Creek Village. There will be slides and bouncy houses for the kiddos to enjoy. Starting at 2:00pm live music will fill the air with artists such as Rob Drabkin, Crow Moses and Charlie Worsham. The kids’ evening fun zone will be open from 5:00 to 7:00pm and the fireworks begin at 9:30pm. Click for more details on Beaver Creek Independence Day.
Beano’s Cabin located at the top of Beaver Creek Mountain will host their own Fourth of July celebration. An incredible buffet that includes lots of BBQ will be available as well as many drink specials from sponsors Bud Light and sparkling Italian wine, La Marca Prosecco. Live entertainment and lawn games will round out the afternoon’s events. Reservations are required. Adult tickets cost $55 and the cost for children under 11 is $25.
Avon Salute to the USA
Mark your calendar for Friday evening, July 3rd. The 29th Annual FirstBank Salute to the USA presented by Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa will be held at Harry A Nottingham Park in Avon, CO. Festivities begin at 5:00pm and include food and beverages, face painters, fire jugglers, stilt walkers, balloon sculptors and magicians. The fireworks display will have more than 10,000 shells, promising an intense and exhilarating ending to the night.
Eagle, Gypsum and Minturn
Minturn, Gypsum and Eagle will also have 4th of July celebrations. Minturn will have a parade, music and fun things for the kids to do taking place at Little Beach Park. Gypsum, the Town of Eagle and Eagle County have jointly sponsored the fireworks show at the Eagle County Fairgrounds. The Fireworks will start at 9:30pm.
