Nova Guides Snowmobiling Tours, Snowmobile Rentals, and Snow Coach Tours

Spend some time exploring the White River National Forest on our easy-to-ride trails, located at Camp Hale, just 30 minutes from Vail & Beaver Creek resorts. Starting at 9,500 feet.

Snowmobile Tours

For the ultimate snowmobile experience we offer a half-day and full-day excursion at our primary Camp Hale location. Our most popular tours, the Top of the Rockies tours include endless miles of open meadows and spectacular 360-degree panoramic views of four surrounding mountain ranges including the Continental Divide. Operating our tours in the White River National Forest at Historic Camp Hale, we reach elevations of 12,500 feet on the largest commercial snowmobile trail system in the Vail and Beaver Creek area.

All guided snowmobiling tours include door-to-door transportation, a professional guide, new model Ski-Doo snowmobile, snowsuit, boots and helmet. The morning half-day tour and full-day snowmobile tours include lunch.

We have a brand new fleet of Ski-Doo snowmobiles for our Top of the Rockies tours.  As a single rider, enjoy the power of the four-stroke MXZ Sport 600.  If you are doubling up, ride in comfort and enjoy heated handle grips for both the driver and passenger with the four-stroke Grand Touring Sport 600.

Reservations required.  Ages 14 and older can drive their own snowmobile and we recommend passengers to be 9 years or older. Listed times are door-to-door times from the Vail and Beaver Creek area.

Snowmobile Rentals

At our Camp Hale location you can choose to rent your own snowmobile. We’ll give you proper safety and operating instructions and a map of the area and you can enjoy the freedom of the Colorado backcountry on your own.  Our four-stroke trail sleds are suitable for up to two people and you can explore endless miles of pristine trails.  The trails are very straight-forward as it is a groomed snowmobile trail system and our guides will make some great recommendations to you on where to go depending on how much time you have for your rental.  Choose your own time frame and time of day (we start rentals on the hour, every hour and ask that you arrive 30 minutes early).

With access to the Vail Pass Recreation area within the White River National Forest, you’ll have over a 100 miles of trails to choose from!  Certainly enough riding for a full-day, eight-hour rental, you can also just come out for as little as an hour if you’d like.  Pricing is listed below and based on how long you’d like to go.  We’re a 15 mile (30 minute) drive from the Vail and Beaver Creek area.  For our location, check out our Map & Directions page.

For rental reservations, please call our office at 719.486.2656.

Snow Coach Tours

Nova Guide’s heated snow coach is perfect for those who want to enjoy the beauty of the Rockies in the winter! Travel in warmth and comfort in Nova Guide’s 13 passenger, fully enclosed, heated, four-track vehicle that maneuvers over the snow. You’ll enjoy breath-taking views of the White River National Forest at historic Camp Hale. Climb to elevations as high as 12,500 feet with panoramic 360 degree vistas and enjoy the pristine beauty of the Colorado Rockies and the Continental Divide.   Our knowledgeable guides will highlight geographic features including THE biggest peaks in Colorado and also educate you on the historic military training of the 10th Mountain Division that trained on the very same trails in the 1940s

Your morning tour departs at 8:30 AM and includes lunch. We offer a midday departure at 11:00, which also includes lunch, and the afternoon tour departs at 1:30 PM.  All tours last two hours on the trail plus extra time for transportation and lunch (if included). The perfect way to take in all the beauty and scenery the Rocky Mountains have to offer. Be sure to bring your camera!
