This year has been fantastic for hiking and other summer and fall activities: Summer has lasted much longer than usual this year. But, don’t worry: Skiing and snowboarding will be as great as usual, thanks to snow-making, and a few recent snows. This Thanksgiving week, be sure to hit the slopes at Vail and Beaver Creek. Beaver Creek Opening Day

Beaver Creek is the first of the two resorts to open, with their opening day taking place this Wednesday, November 23rd. The lifts open at 8:30am, and fresh chocolate chip cookies and hot chocolate will be served. There will be live music and games throughout the day, making opening day an event you shouldn’t miss! Vail Mountain Opening Day

Due to the lack of snow, Vail Mountain is opening a day later, on November 25th, to ensure the quality of snow is excellent. The lifts start running in the morning, and there will be swag giveaways, breakfast burritos, and fun for all!
