Vail Nightlife: Music On the Mountains Provides Fun Time, Killer Bands
Music on the Mountain is continuing this week with the Bobby Mason Band on Saturday, June 14! Music on the Mountain is a series of concerts hosted by Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. Glenwood Springs is only an hour’s drive from Vail, so the concert series is perfect for music lovers who are looking to experience something outside of the traditional Vail nightlife scene. Guests can ride the tram or bus with the donation of a canned food item. Since the concert series began in 2009, guests have donated over 33,895 cans of food. Last week alone, 900 cans were donated! The tram leaves from the Roaring Fork Valley floor.
Bobby Mason will be joined by Hap Harriman, Bryan Savage, and Hayden Gregg for his appearance this Saturday, during which he will perform American classic rock ‘n’ roll hits. The band will play for four hours, from 6 to 10 p.m. The concert is sponsored by the local car dealership Bighorn Toyota, which has been the recipient of the Toyota President’s award for nine of the past 12 years.
For dinner, guests can enjoy the Lookout Grille and Snack Shack, which will be open for dinner and refreshments. The Lookout Grille is offering a $4 dollar drink special on glasses of wine, well drinks, Coors Lights, and Coronas. Guests are welcome to enjoy the park’s rides and attractions during the event as well! For those looking to experience more, the park is also offering a Funday Pass! The pass is only $35 with the free tram ride and includes both walking cave tours and unlimited access to the park’s rides.
The Music on the Mountain Series will be on hiatus after this weekend; it will return on Saturday August 9 with Fifty50 (classic rock). There will be additional concerts throughout the rest of August as well as early September. For more information, visit GlenwoodCaverns.com or call 800-530-1635!
