Join the Vail Recreation District for its annual free Easter Egg Hunt taking place Saturday, March 30 in Vail's Lionshead. The free event, for kids ages 2-10, will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a visit by the Easter Bunny followed by a quest for prizes and eggs at 10 a.m. The event will be held rain, snow or shine and complimentary bags will be handed out to carry the eggs and prizes.
Following the hunt, participants are encouraged to check out the Imagination Station, a thoughtful play space located on the second level of the Lionshead Welcome Center. The Imagination Station offers children ages two to 12, and their families, a play wall that encourages active play integrating physical and cognitive learning; a light table and builder boards that inspire development and dexterity; a hyperbolic funnel that models planetary motion; and a Mad Scientist's Lab where children will make slime, "gak" and other messy projects. Imagination Station entrance fee of $5 will include one free photo print-out from the Easter Egg Hunt festivities. Participants are encouraged to bring their own memory card or look for photos being taken during the hunt. Photo courtesy VailDaily.com
